Thank you for visitng the home page of Slayer. Slayer is a Role-Playing Game placed in the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as has been seen in the Movie and Television Show.

This Role-Playing Game is the result of some very frustrating attempts at finding a suitable system to run a Buffy TVS campaign in. Without exception, everything I came across was either too cinematic or too realistic. After a few frustrating weeks, I realized that the problem is that the world of Buffy is uniquely situated right on the fence that seperates the Realistic from the Cinematic, and no currently available game would do.

Thus was born Slayer. I started out with the intention of making a small, basic set of rules that could be used to supliment another gaming system, but rapidly found that I didn't need to make the material I was creating dependant on another game system, as it was begining to stand on it's own two legs, so to speak.

Right up front, let me admit that this is partially because it is a VERY SIMPLE game system. If you absolutely need a rule for every possible eventuality, you may not like this game. I tried to design it to cover every eventuality that could occur in the world of Buffy, but I know I must have missed a few things (I mean, heck, this is it's first posting anywhere and it's already undergone two revisions!).
